Jim Crow Laws were racial segregation laws established after the civil war. The laws were torn apart after the civil rights movement. The laws were said to be "separate but equal" which angered many African Americans. Almost everything was segregated from Schools, to Bathrooms Buses, Trains, Restaurants, Theaters, Drinking fountains and even Federal Workplaces separated black people from white people. Most segregated buildings had large signs on them indicating if it was for white or colored people. I most case "separate but equal" was not true, yes African Americans were separated from white people, but they were treated worse. For example the bathroom for colored people would be more run down and not a nice as the one white people or in a restaurant black people would be served at the back or in a separate room so they would not be seen.
